Hello, fellow fashionistas,

Welcome to my closet! Starting on Monday, 06.08.2009, I’m going to show you my collection of handbags…my obsession since I was very young. My bags range from current to vintage, well-known to not-so-well-known designer. I’ve pursued various designers over the years, but it’s always been about the design itself, not the name or the label. Just because I adore one (or many!) pieces by a particular designer doesn’t mean all of his/her work suits me, and therefore belongs in my collection.

Sometimes I’ll show you other accessories (definitely fair to say that all accessories are part of my obsession)—fabulous shoes, belts, gloves, costume jewelry, sunglasses, etc. Again, it’s about the design, not the designer. But, that said, I do have many designer accessories. After all, the name usually does represent a certain level of quality, both in design and fabrication. Perfection is in the details.

A picture is worth a thousand words…If one picture conveys the essence of a piece, that’s what I’ll post. If it takes many views, then that’s what I’ll post. I’ll share with you information about each item, some descriptive or technical, some anecdotal—my goal is for you to have a captivating virtual museum experience. (And if I have a great shopping tip, I’ll pass it along!)

 Everything is edited to my personal taste and by my expert trained eye.  My background and education are in art and design, and my style is typically rather minimal and graphic. This is apparent even in my most seductively feminine pieces—you’ll see!
